Description

This is a classic heavy displacement blue water cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Ted Brewer and built by Fort Myers Yacht & Shipbuilding (Florida). Known for its sea-kindly motion and spacious center cockpit, this boat features a cutter rig with centerboard and is highly favored for extended, offshore liveaboard voyages.

The Brewer 44 Cutter, a beautifully crafted vessel from 1988 that showcases the elegance of classic sailing design. These boats are highly regarded and almost always in high demand. Highly constructed with hand laid fiberglass and custom woodwork, ensuring stability and performance on the water.

The centerboard keel enhances maneuverability, making it an excellent choice for both coastal cruising and exploring deeper waters. The Alfin II is designed for comfort and functionality, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment. This is a 2 Stateroom and 2 Head compartment layout with a forward cvabin and aft cabin. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or a longer voyage, this vessel promises to deliver an exceptional sailing experience.

Of very important note this boat is not currently equipped with a mast or standing rigging.... This is reflected in the much lower than normal asking price. Overall, the boat is solid and shows very well.

BROKERS WALK THRU

I have always found the 44 Brewer as a high demand, quality boat. She is capable of all your Bluewater cruising needs and also is on the high end of comfort, both on the inside and outside. This boat is no exception walking around the deck she felt very solid underfoot and the enormous cockpit is great weather you are cruising and lounging about on the hook with cocktail in hand.

The sellers have owned this boat for close to 13 years and have cruised her extensively, they used her as a live aboard in the Bahamas for over half a year and have bounced around other places. This boat is capable of reaching even further and more exotic destinations... And other than the mast... she is set up for it.

She has been safely stored on the hard for a couple years, and may require a standard engine shake down before taking off but nothing out of ordinary when taking a boat out of storage. She always performed flawless for the sellers.

If sailing you will require a mast and standing rigging - She is priced low to reflect these things. Or if you are doing the great loop she will make a nice passage without a mast while going slightly slower than normal trawler speeds.

The Interior is beautiful and can be entered from the cockpit through 1 of 2 hatches. A large functional galley to port, large salon and dinette centered. The salon settee cushions are so new, there is still plastic on them.  A Navigation Station and Mechanical Workstation is located to Starboard. At the workstation you will find the engine and generator which can be seen by opening large double doors with decent working access. The companion way to the aft cabin is tight for a larger person such as myself, but there is also a rear access from the cockpit directly to the spacious aft cabin and private head. forward of the salon is the forward Stateroon and the second head compartment.

Everything that goes with the boat is onboard. So when viewing she may be a bit cluttered a first, but these things will all fit in place once you start getting the boat ready for your personal journey. The sellers are back to work in Washington and will sell with a reasonable offer.

A boat like this at this price is a great opportunity for any serious sailboat cruising enthusiast.
